Currently, the API module waits only 3 seconds for a response. In my use case, I want to get a banner from another service. This way sometimes it takes 5 to 7 seconds to get it back.
Is there a way to extend this waiting time?
If not, I’d like to request a longer time for the waiting time in API resquests.
That sounds understandable
Question about the API step- when waiting can we have the API processing in the back ground and add a few mesaging steps until the API has sent the responce back? I would like to minimize the waiting time for the user but I understand if this would be to hard of a technical challenge and I dont think their is anything wrong with having the user wait.
@Keith
That is a great suggestion but yes it is also more of a technical challenge. Would you mind creating a new suggestion for that so we can keep track of it separate from this? 😊
Sure I will do.
Hi! Sorry to bother again. @Keith, any updates on this one? Without this, I can’t connect with the service I need (Abyssale) as it takes longer than 3 seconds to fetch an image generate on-the-fly.
I’m currently using ManyChat for this, but it would be great to have this using Continual.ly <3
Just a quick update on this.
We’ve investigated the current limitation and are not able to wait longer than 3 seconds for a response at this time.
I can see how this would be useful so we’ll leave the suggestion open so that we can revisit in the future.
